Definition

Provides a list of demand groups that you can include in supply and demand matching.

Use

You can assign each MRP element category to a demand group.

Note:

Each group builds on the preceding group. That is, each group contains the demands of the preceding groups plus new demands.

You can select one of the following options:

  • Blank - No Demands
    No demands are included in supply and demand matching.
  • 1 - Negative Stock
    The negative stock quantity is included in supply and demand matching.
  • 2 - Execution Demands
    Negative + plus execution demands are included in supply and demand matching.
    Execution demands are demands for which an outbound delivery exists and that are ready to be shipped to the customer.
  • 3 - Ordered Demands
    Negative stock + execution demands + ordered demands are included in supply and demand matching.
    Ordered demands include, for example:
    • All other SD requirements (such as customer inquiries, customer quotations, and sales orders)
    • Dependent reservations of released production orders
    • Requirements of materials provided from subcontract orders/subcontract schedule lines
    • Stock transfer releases from stock transfer orders/delivery scheduling agreement schedule lines
  • 4 - Planned Demands
    Negative stock + execution demands + ordered demands + planned demands are included in supply and demand matching.
    Planned demands include, for example:
    • Dependent reservations from production orders that have not yet been released
    • Requirements of materials provided from subcontracting purchase requisitions/planned orders
    • Dependent requirements, total requirements
    • Planned independent requirements
    • Manual reservations
  • 5 - Forecast Demands

    Negative stock + execution demands + ordered demands + planned demands + forecast demands are included in supply and demand matching.

    Planned demands include, for example:

    • Forecast requirements
