Definition
When you transfer characteristic combinations to the APO system, all characteristic combinations are deleted.
If the switch is not activated, any characteristic combinations that were not transferred are indicated as unused. If a combination is then transferred, it is re-activated.
When the system searches for a valid characteristic combination, it only recognizes active characteristic combinations (for product allocations). Any inactive characteristic combinations are replaced with collective product allocations.
Normally, this switch should not be activated.
The internal key for the characteristic combination is returned to the OLTP system for identifying the product allocation quantity. If it is the product allocation from a combination, the OLTP system recognizes the key. If you delete and then re-create the characteristic combination, the system cannot assign the previous product allocation quantity to the characteristic combination.
The product allocation has to be re-assigned.
Deactivating a characteristic combination has the same result as deleting it, but if you reactivate it, you can use the product allocation quantity again.
