Definition
Key for a business partner that replaces the original business partner for the purpose of recipient determination.
This business partner is then the standard correspondence recipient.
Use
When correspondence is being created, the master data is checked to see whether a standard correspondence recipient has been defined.
The standard correspondence recipient is used for all correspondence types, unless a different recipient has been entered for a specific type of correspondence.
The standard correspondence recipient is always an alternative one.
These correspondence recipients can be defined as follows
- by entering the business partner
- or defining calculation guidelines
- In this case the activity defined determines which calculation method is to be used.
In Customizing the activity is assigned a function module.
Example
A customer requests that correspondence be sent to another business partner. In this case the other business partner is entered as a correspondence recipient.
