Definition

This setting indicates that in the logistics processing of SAP ERP the material is to be configured with the variant configuration.

In addition the IPC can be used for configuration simulation.

Use

Choose this setting if you want to test the configuration with the IPC, i.e. you can switch between both configuration engines for simulation purpose.

Prerequisites

If you want to use the IPC you have to consider specific modeling requirements. For more information see SAP Library Variant Configuration (LO-VC) -> Master Data and Configuration Engine.

The configuration with the IPC requires the availability of a knowledge-base object and according runtime versions.
