Definition

This setting indicates that in the logistics processing of SAP ERP the material is to be configured with the IPC.

In addition the variant configuration can be used for configuration simulation.

Use

Choose this setting if you want to allow testing also with the variant configuration. This enables you to test the BOM explosion also in cases where the IPC UI does not present the BOM explosion result.

Prerequisites

If you want to use the IPC you have to consider specific modeling requirements. For more information see SAP Library Variant Configuration (LO-VC) -> Master Data and Configuration Engine.

The configuration with the IPC requires the availability of a knowledge-base object and according runtime versions.
