Definition

Structures and tables that were defined by SAP in the ABAP Dictionary can be enhanced subsequently by customers using Customizing includes or append structures. When you create a structure or table, you must select an enhancement category in the ABAP Dictionary. If it is possible to determine whether enhancements to a structure or table were made in the customer system, the category of the customer enhancement is output. The developer should consider this category when selecting the enhancement category for the table/structure.

A determined maximum enhancement can either be

• character type
• character type or numeric
• of any type or
• not classified.
