Definition

This indicator defines a wage type as a deduction wage type.

  • It allows you to create separate wage types for payments and deductions. You can then enter both payments and deductions as positive values.

This proves an advantage when making corrections because you can still recognize the original wage type.

  • Set the indicator to specify a deduction wage type:

' ' 7475 Rent allowance
'X' 8190 Rent deduction
Enter values as follows:
7475 Rent allowance 50.00
8190 Rent deduction 50.00

  • If you do not set this indicator, you must enter deductions as negative values.

This proves an advantage because you have fewer wage types.

  • If you do not set the indicator to specify a deduction wage type:

' ' 7000 Rent
Enter values as follows:
7000 Rent 50.00 (payment)
7000 Rent -50.00 (deduction)
