Definition
During development, revised and new objects constantly arise in the development system. In such systems this check is meaningless.
In an integration system however there should not be any revised or new objects, as these are immediately activated in transport.
If revised/new objects nevertheless occur, it can be for the following reasons.
- The object is inconsistent and cannot be activated. This can be checked with the "Check" function in SE11. These objects also become apparent in the check activation. The author of the object should be informed.
- The object was inconsistent at the time of the transport but is now consistent (for example because of a supplementary transport of missing references). The "Check" function cannot then identify any more inconsistencies. It is possible to determine whether this is the case with the transport history. The author should be advised to transport the object again so that its activation is initiated in subsequent systems as well.
- Error in transport/activation procedure. If there is a suspicion of this, the Dictionary Group should be informed.
