Definition

If the beginning of a field list of one index corresponds to that of a second index (to the same base table), the second index might possibly be superfluous. Therefore, a check is made to see whether the index to be activated is contained as the beginning in an index which is already active or contains a beginning of an index which is already active. If this is the case, a warning is issued. If the index to be activated, however, corresponds to an index that is already active, this check has no effect because there is a separate check for this.
