Use
Number used to map document numbers from external logistics documents to document numbers in the central financials system.
In decoupling, each logistics system sends the document numbers of the processed business objects (such as purchase orders) to the central financials system. To guarantee unique document numbers in the central financials system, the preprocessor performs the following steps in the central financials system:
- It generates new internal numbers by drawing numbers from the delivered number range interval.
- From this internal number, it compiles a new, 10-character alphanumeric ID and stores this as the new document number.
