Documentation
Definition
During an incremental conversion, there is a step-by-step transfer of data from the source table to the target table.
In the first run, all the data of the source table is transferred to the target table. If a data record which was copied is modified in the source table, for example by application programs which access the source tables, the modified data record is marked in the source table.
In the second run, all the marked data records of the source table are again transferred to the target table. The existing (no longer current) version of the data record is hereby overwritten. All the modifications to records which were already transferred are again marked and then transferred to the target table again in a third run, etc.
The number of runs performed is entered in this field.
The symbol in front of the number of the run gives more information about whether or not conversion processes are running at the moment. With Utilities -> Key you can display the meaning of the symbols.
