Documentation
Definition
An offset is the point from which a field/table/area is read. It is expressed in bytes from the beginning of the table or internal area.
Procedure
You can enter an offset for the field specified in the first column. The system then reads it (or the table) from the desired point.
Offsets must not exceed the total length of the specified field. Also, they cannot be used with packed fields and are ignored in this context.
