Use

The Start date and End date fields are used together to select infotypes for inquiries/reports, according to the infotype validity period.

All infotypes (Relationships, Descriptions, and so on) have a validity period that defines when they "exist".

To select infotypes according to validity, you must enter a selection period, which is a range of dates, for example, 01.01.1994 to 12.31.9999. All infotypes valid at ANY POINT within the specified period will be reported on.

Procedure

Use the Start date field to identify the start of the selection period. To do so:

  • type in an appropriate date

NOTE: If you do not wish to select infotypes according to validity, leave the Start date and End date fields blank.

Supplementary Documentation - DBEG 0300

Use

The Data selection fields contain default settings. The settings identify a default selection period for the infotypes linked with objects.

Name a selection period when you want to confine reports/inquiries to infotypes that are valid within a specified period, for example, 01.01.1994 to 12.31.9999. All infotypes valid at ANY POINT within the specified period are reported on.

Procedure

Use the first field to identify the start of the default selection period. To do so:

  • type in an appropriate date

NOTE: If you do not wish to confine reporting in this manner, leave the Data selection fields blank.

Supplementary Documentation - DBEG 1000

Use

The Start date and End date fields contain validity dates. The dates identify when the relationship between the organizational unit and the position(s) is valid. The Start date field identifies the start of the period when the relationship is valid, and the End date field identifies the end of the period.

Procedure

Use the Start date field to identify the start of the validity period. To do so:

  • type in an appropriate date

Supplementary Documentation - DBEG 3000
