Definition

Storage space reserved for all the indexes of a table in KB.

Each index in DB2 corresponds to (at least) one separate VSAM dataset on the OS/390 host. The size of the index can therefore be determined with operating system means as the size of the dataset.

When you update Transaction DB02, there is a size analysis for all the indexes defined in the R/3 System and the results are stored. The given value corresponds to the size of the indexes at this time and can differ from the current value.
