Point to which documents are sent before distribution to the recipients (external addresses).
Use
The following user types can be distribution points:
- Internal users
- Organizational units
Procedure
Examples
For communication type ORI (Post with output of originals), files are provided on a certain computer and at the same time an SAP mail is sent to the distribution point. The user must copy the files to a diskette and send them to the recipients.
Dependencies
If the Send to distribution point indicator is set and no distribution point is entered, the distribution point is determined as follows:
- If started manually, the active user becomes the distribution point.
- If started by a workflow event, the initiating user becomes the distribution point.
