Definition
This key identifies a distribution package.
Use
The data stored in a distribution package includes the following:
- Send time
- Recipient
- Distribution type
- All documents in the package
When you distribute documents, a distribution package is created for each recipient and distribution type. This package is distributed to the recipient.
Procedure
Examples
Dependencies
Once the distribution process is initiated (manually or by an SAP Business Workflow event), the system automatically creates a distribution order.
- A distribution order can contain several initial orders. For example, this is the case if initial orders were created with status AS (asynchronous) and the distribution process is started subsequently.
- A distribution order contains several partial orders. A partial order describes the link between a recipient and a document (1:1 link).
- The distribution process is controlled by SAP Business Workflow. When a distribution order is processed, the system creates a distribution package for each recipient, for each distribution type.
- A sub-workflow for processing the package is started for each distribution package.
Once all packages have been processed successfully, the distribution order is closed.
