Once the distribution process has been initiated (manually or by an SAP Business Workflow event), the system automatically creates a distribution order.
- A distribution order can contain several initial orders. For example, this is the case if initial orders are created with status AS (asynchronous) and the distribution transaction is started subsequently.
- A distribution order contains several partial orders. A partial order describes the link between a recipient and a document (1:1 link).
- The distribution transaction is controlled by SAP Business Workflow. When the distribution order is processed, the system produces a distribution order package for each recipient and distribution type.
- A sub-workflow for processing packages is started for each distribution order package.
Once all packages have been processed successfully, the distribution order is closed.
