Definition

Activates the extended consistency check for a production data structure (PDS).

Use

You should only activate the extended consistency check in special circumstances, such as for incorrect production data structures or incorrect orders in SAP SCM.

The extended consistency check is used to check if the PDS meets certain conditions. The system issues an error messages if one of the following conditions has not been met:

  • Only one resource is always specified as the calendar resource at the mode
  • The activity relationships are consistent (warning message only)
  • Different primary resources are assigned to the different modes of an activity
  • Mode linkage is carried out via the primary resource in an operation
  • The Continuous Resource Load indicator has not been set for relationships between the activities of different operations
  • Only one dynamic setup activity exists in an operation
  • All activities have the same mode (warning message only)
  • No preceding activity exists before a dynamic setup activity in an operation
  • The activities of an operation are linked via end-start relationships
  • The same primary resource is assigned to the activities of an operation
  • The header product of the PDS cannot be the component for this product (recursion)

Dependencies

The extended consistency check can lead to poor system performance. Only activate the check if one of the situations described above occurs.
