Definition
In the status maintenance, the function or menu text is displayed up to the length you specified. If the text is actually longer than this, the line is not ready for input, and the text is shortened. '...' indicates this.
The visible length setting is only intended to make the status maintenance easier to read when you are using shorter texts.
When you choose a menu bar or function key setting from the object list, the system always displays the entire text. The visible length setting applies only to status maintenance.
