Definition
When you maintain a status, function codes are displayed in the display length you have set. If the function code is actually longer than this, the line is no longer ready for input.
The length setting is only intended to make the status maintenance display easier to read if you are only using short function codes.
When you choose a menu bar or function key setting from the object list, the entire function code is always displayed. The visible length setting only applies to status maintenance.
