Definition

The solution briefly describes how the existing conflict caused by meter readings that were taken on the same transaction date can be resolved.

Use

The following proposed solutions currently exist:

  1. SA(x->+/-1)     Shift action x by +/- 1 day with reference to the transaction date
  2. SM(z->(+/-1;xx:yy))    Shift the meter reading date of meter reading z by +/- 1 day and change the time to xx:yy
  3. RM(Z1 -> Z2;'')     Suppress Z1 and use Z2 with the meter reading reason from Z1
  4. RM(Z1 -> Z2; Z1)     Suppress Z1 and use Z2 with the meter reading reason from Z1, and the meter reading to be billed from Z1

Suppress, in this instance, is not used in the normal sense of suppressing meter readings. In this case, it is a special mechanism that savessuppressed meter reading for reversal on the database, but flags it sothat it is not used for regular meter reading transactions.
