Provided that the settings in Customizing permit, a new device is created, if required, for the billing-related installation.

The interaction between this field and the Customizing setting Define System Parameters for Device Installation, Removal and Replacement is as follows:

• Parameter DEVCREATEP is set (creation of device information record for billing-related installation is allowed).

  If necessary, a device is created whether this field is selected or not.

• Parameter DEVCREATEI is set (creation of device information record for billing-related installation with information is allowed). Parameter DEVCREATEP is not set.

  If the field is selected, a device is created if necessary. If the field is not selected, no device is created.
