Definition
A 20 figure number allocated by the credit card company, the meaning of which is determined by the customer. The selection code is a component of the inbound file data records. It is also stored in the log file.
Use
You can use the selection code to select data records while processing the log file.
Different processors of the log file can group together their work list of (incorrect) records from the log file with differing, user-specific selection codes.
