Documentation
Definition
Date on which the valuation should be carried out.
Use
If you want the valuation to take place on a key date such as the end of a month, the prices from the valuation key date have to be taken into account. A quotation forecast required for this date uses the commodity curve with the curve date of the valuation key date.
The valuation key date is the last possible quotation date. This is the current date (today's date) and in most cases corresponds to the system date. The forecast date can also be in the past for simulation purposes.
Dependencies
Example
The period end check for the month of April takes place on May 2nd with the valuation key date April 30th. Only quotations that are available on April 30th are taken into account.
