Definition
This indicator has no effect if parallel processing has not been set up.
If the server group COWORK-DIALOG or COWORK-BATCH for parallel processing is set up in dialog or background mode, this indicator determines the maximum number of processes to be used.
The collective availability check is never parallelled, as the correct sequence of checks cannot otherwise be maintained. This indicator is therefore not considered in the collective availability check.
If despite the parallel processing that has been set up you do not carry out mass processing in the parallel process, but rather in the current process, you delete the maximum number of processes or set it to 0. This enables, for example, the user to decide whether to allow release in the case of missing parts. A parallel process always runs in the background and would in this case reject the release if there are missing parts, as a user decision is not possible.
The maximum number of parallel processes can only be set to 0 if you have selected a function. If you have not selected a function, the maximum number is set to 99.
