Definition

Contains an abbreviation, or code that represents a wage element.

Wage elements represent the different categories of costs that contribute to the overall cost of maintaining a staff, for example, salaries, pension contributions, and training and education. By assigning a set of wage elements to an object, you can identify its personnel-related costs.

Use

You can assign wage elements to:

  • organizational units
  • work centers
  • positions
  • jobs

Wage elements, and the default amounts assigned to them, are user-defined through Customizing for Personnel Management.

Use

Use this field to identify the wage elements that should be included in a Cost Planning infotype record. To do so:

  • type in a code, or
  • retrieve a list of possible entries and make a selection by:
    • . pressing F4, or

. clicking on the down arrow

NOTE: You must make corresponding entries in the other fields in the window for each wage element.
