Definition

Activates an item.

Use

• If there are no restriction on the use of the item, do not make an entry here. The default value for the activation column is "active".
• If the item should only be activated under certain conditions, double-click on this field. An editor then appears, and you can enter the condition for the activation using methods.

If the method entered in the editor assumes the "true" value (active) during template processing, the item objects are used in processing along with the respective quantities and/or costs. In this case, template processing include allocations, planning, or costing. Item objects are the business processes, cost centers, or cost center/activity types. If the method is inactive, the item is skipped.

This activation condition is checked before object selection or quantity determination.
