Definition

Specifies whether a correspondence recipient replaces the original recipient.

Use

If the indicator is not set, then both the actual business partner and the additional business partner are sent a copy of the correspondence.

If the indicator is set, only the alternative correspondence recipient receives the correspondence. The correspondence to the actual business partner is suppressed.

Example

The following is defined for business partner 'Smith'

• Alternate correspondence reipient 'Black' for account statements
• Additional correspondence recipient 'Jones' for dunning notices

The correspondence for 'Smith' is then sent:

• account statements to business partner 'Black' only
• dunning notices to both business partner 'Smith' and 'Jones'

Dependencies

The following applies, even if correspondence activities are used to determine the correspondence recipients:

• If the indicator is not set, all the business partners determined by the correspondence activity and also the original business partners receive the correspondence
• If the indicator is set, all the business partners determined by the correspondence activity receive a correspondence but not the original business partners
