Documentation
Definition
Key for an activity that is executed to determine the recipient for correspondence.
Use
When you create correspondence, the system checks the master data to determine whether alternative or additional correspondence recipients have been defined.
You can also define correspondence recipients directly by specifying the business partner or you can define calculation guidelines for determining the correspondence recipient. In this case, the defined activity determines the calculation formula to be used. In Customizing, assign a relevant function module to the activity Configure Correspondence Activities.
Examples
When issuing a third dunning notice for an auto insurance policy, an insurance company would like to inform the auto registration center about the loss of coverage.
Instead of entering the auto registration center as additional correspondence recipient for each policyholder, you can define an activity. This activity can determine the appropriate auto registration center for the runtime from the master data of any policyholder, for example, place of residence and license plate number.
