Definition
This correlation coefficient is given as a guide to the sizing the physical log. A value of 100 percent indicates that the physical log on disk is filling, by average, to full capacity before releasing its contents via the next checkpoint. To put it in other words, the physical log is causing the next checkpoint to be issued.
This value should never reach 100 percent if the physical log is sized properly. The proper sizing guldline can be found under the "physical log file size" help screen.
If you desire to decrease checkpoint frequency, you may want to increase the value of the PHYSFILE parameter located in the ONCONFIG* parameter file located in the $INFORMIXDIR/etc directory.
The "RESET"/"SINCE RESET" buttons can be used to monitor activity for any predetermined window of time.
