Documentation

Definition

Number of days the converter waits to start the conversion.

Procedure

You can also set up times more particularly by entering the Maximimum Waiting Time for Free Converter (Hours, Minutes, Seconds).

The system adds the entry of both times.

Examples

If you want to start the conversion 30 hours and 30 minutes later enter the following:

  • Maximum Waiting Time for Free Converter (Hours): 06:30:00
  • Maximum Waiting Time for Free Converter (Days): 1

Dependencies

Conversion of Documents

Before conversion starts the following steps are executed automatically:

  • The document to be converted is locked.
  • The system looks for a free converter and locks it from other users.

If one of the required objects is not available, all other objects are unlocked. A time is selected at random. The waiting time is increased on each run. The steps are executed again.

Conversion of Material BOMs

The conversion happens in a similar way to the conversion of documents.
Before conversion all necessary documents belonging to the BOM are locked, although the BOM itself is not locked.

When the transformation matrices are written into the SAP system, the system locks each assembly of the BOM on a single level. If an assembly node cannot be locked, the system tries to write the matrices for these nodes again at a later point in time.

End and Cancellation of the Conversion

The conversion attempts are repeated until one of the following situations occurs:

In this last case the conversion is cancelled and an error message is written in the application log.
