Definition
Setting this flag allows you to specify characteristic values of the SW product knowledge base. These characteristic values will be stored with the selection variant and applied in the selection run. You can specify certain characteristics to be relevant for matching in the selection run. To do this, you have to customize the relevant view parameter (see the release notes for configuration views) and assign this parameter as an organizational area to the characteristics of the SW product's variant class. If both the IBASE and contract record are available, then the specified characteristic values will be matched only against the configuration of the IBASE record. If only the contract record is available, then the specified characteristic values will be matched against the configuration of the service product for the contract item.
