Use

Name of table field that is relevant for the index.

Procedure

Specify the table fields relevant for the index or, using Edit -> Select Fields, go into the relevant list of the table fields, from which you can select the desired fields.

When you go back to the screen Maintain Table (Index) the fields are copied to the index field list in the sequence in which they were selected.

Use

Name of the basic fields from the basic tables.

The key fields copied automatically from the system to the view are listed here. These fields are marked in the column Key accordingly.

Procedure

To select other fields, place the cursor on the names of the desired table and select Edit -> Select Fields. Select those table fields from the list that are to be copied to the view. When you return to the maintenance screen, these fields will have been copied.

If two fields from different tables have the same name, then a new name must be entered in the column View Field for at least one field.

Use

Names of the view fields.

The names of the selected table fields from the system are also entered as the names of the view fields by default.

Procedure

The names of the view fields can be changed.

If two fields from different tables have the same name, then a new name must be entered for at least one field.

Use

Names of the table fields with view selection conditions.

The field conditions do not have to reference the fields belonging to the view only, but can also be specified for any fields from the base tables.

Procedure

To get a list of all fields, choose Edit -> Select Fields. You can select fields from this list and copy the field conditions.

Use

Names of the table fields that are to be copied from the tables belonging to the matchcode object.

The key fields of all tables relevant for the matchcode object are displayed automatically. These fields are marked in the column Key accordingly.

Procedure

All those fields that are to be used in any matchcode ID for the object must be copied to the matchcode object. The matchcode object must at least contain all those primary key fields of the tables involved that are not foreign keys.

The sequence of the fields in the matchcode object is not significant.

To select other fields, place the cursor on the name of the desired tab table and select Select Fields or Edit -> Select Fields. The fields of the relevant table are displayed and can be copied to the matchcode object.

If two fields from different tables have the same name, then a new name must be entered in the column MC Field for at least one field.

Definition

Names of the matchcode fields.

Use

The names of the selected table fields from the system are also entered as the names of the matchcode fields by default.

These names are then specified in the definition of the matchcode IDs associated with the matchcode object.

Procedure

You can change the names of the matchcode fields.

If two fields from different tables have the same name, then a new name must be entered for at least one of the fields.

Use

Names of the table fields that go into the lock arguments.

Procedure

As the lock arguments are automatically determined by the system, you cannot make any changes here.

If there are fields of the same name from different tables in this column, then you must enter different names for these fields in the column Lock Argument.

Examples

Dependencies

Supplementary Documentation - COMT_IL_GEN_FIELDNAME_UI0011

Use

Names of the table fields that are to be locked.

All fields of the tables associated with the lock object are entered here as standard with * .

Procedure

If you want to change this default setting, that is, only lock some of the fields of a table, then enter these fields here or copy the relevant fields from a field list.

To do so, carry out the following steps:

  1. Delete the line with the entry * .
  2. Place the cursor on the table from which you want to copy the fields.
  3. Choose Edit -> Select Fields or Select Fields.
  4. In the next screen in the first column, enter the mode in front of the fields that you want to copy.
  5. Return to the initial screen. The selected fields are now visible.

Examples

Dependencies

Please note that when a lock is in place, all the fields of a table are locked, even if only certain fields were selected.

Supplementary Documentation - COMT_IL_GEN_FIELDNAME_UI0012

Use

Names of the lock parameters.

The system enters the names of the table fields as the names of the lock parameters by default.

Procedure

You can assign new names for the lock parameters here.

However, the names of the lock parameters must be unique.

Examples

Dependencies

You have to assign new names for the lock parameters if fields from different tables have the same names, in order to ensure the names are unique.

Supplementary Documentation - COMT_IL_GEN_FIELDNAME_UI0013

Use

Event generation can be dependent on certain field restrictions that come from the old and/or new value of a database field.

Procedure

If you are maintaining a field restriction, enter the field that is to influence the event generation here.

Examples

Dependencies

You must make an entry in the field "Field Name". If, however, you want to make the event generation dependent on the creation or deletion of entries in the relevant table, enter KEY as the field name.
