Definition
Country keys, for which decisions were made regarding running a check on certain entries, such as the length of the postal code or the length of the bank account number.
As a rule, the two-character ISO-CODE is used according to ISO 3166. SAP delivers this as a recommendation.
Other possibilities are a country key for motor vehicles or a country- specific key, for example the key for the Federal Statistical Office in Germany.
The country keys are determined from global settings during system implementation.
As the country key does not have to match the ISO Code in all installations, programs which can change according to certain country key values should not read the country key T005-LAND1, but should program using the ISO Code T005-INTCA.
