Definition

Specifies whether or not the notification type is to be used as an independent shift note.

Use

• If you select the Independent Shift Note option, the selected notification type is used as an independent shift note. In this case, you can no longer process the notifications with the standard transactions for notifications. You then have to use the transactions for processing shift notes (SHN1, SHN2, SHN3).
• If you have selected the Screen Area of a Notification option, the Shift Note area is used within the selected notification type, but you must use the standard transactions for notifications to create or change the notification. The following standard transactions are available for notifications:
• Extended Notification (IQS1, IQS2, IQS3)
• Simple View (IQS21, IQS22, IQS23)

  If you select the Screen Area of Notific. option, you must then choose the Work Center/Hierarchy setting in the Origin field if you want to create the shift note with reference to a work center.
