Definition
A WIP batch can be assigned to an order. The number of the WIP batch can be:
- Specified manually (external number assignment)
- Assigned consecutively (internal number assignment, no user input)
- Adopted from the order item
- Bequeathed together with the material for the WIP batch by a component of the production order or process order
In this case, the number field is no longer ready to accept input. However, the number can be deleted and a new one created.
