Definition

Indicator you use

  • In process data requests, to specify that the unit of measure is displayed for the input value in the PI sheet
  • In process data calculation formulas, to specify that the unit of measure is displayed for the value to be calculated in the PI sheet

Use

Note that in process data requests you can allocate the unit of measure to one input value only. The input value must be a numeric value.

In the PI sheet, the unit is displayed as follows:

  • After the input field in simple data requests
  • Above the table column in repeated data requests
  • After the value to be calculated in calculation formulas

Dependencies

You can allocate the unit of measure only if the standard characteristic for the unit of measure

  • Has been copied to the process instruction using the selection indicator or by defining it as an additional characteristic
  • Is not flagged as an input value

If you have also flagged the characteristic for the unit of measure as an output characteristic, the same unit of measure is displayed for the input value or the value to be calculated as in the output value.
