Definition

Use

You use this indicator to specify that the signature process is carried out asynchronously when signing a PI sheet. This implies the following:

  • When you execute a signature strategy, the system saves each signature separately.
  • You can exit the PI sheet after each individual signature and the next signatory can call it up again.

If you do not set the indicator, the signature process is carried out synchronously. This means that all individual signatures must be executed immediately after one another.

Procedure

Examples

Dependencies

For the indicator to be taken into account, the following requirements must be met:

  • The Digital signature indicator has been set in Customizing for the control recipe destination.
  • The process instruction is positioned at the very end of the PI sheet, that is, it is used to sign off the entire PI sheet.

In process instructions that are used to sign an individual process step, the signature process is always carried out synchronously.
