Definition
Indicator controlling whether tracing factors are weighted in cost splitting.
The weighting indicator is used in the second splitting step in variance calculation. You should set the indicator when the individual values of the tracing factor have different units.
If the transfer indicator is active, these values will be multiplied by the activity type equivalence numbers. In this way the different value units will be comparable to each other.
Example
The costs of a cost element should be split according to the activity type activity quantity. Activity type ATYP_1 produces an activity quantity of 10 hours, and ATYP_2 produces 150 minutes. For weighting, the equivalence number of ATYP_1 must be maintained with the value 60 and that of ATYP_2 with the value 1.
If the weighting indicator is inactive, a ratio of 10 to 150 is split. If the indicator is active, the activity types are multiplied by the equivalence numbers and the splitting ratio is 600 to 150.
