Definition

Controls whether commitments are updated for this controlling object.

You set the indicator in the order type. When you change it, the change is valid immediately for all existing orders in the system that have this order type.

Use

The following values are valid for open item management:

" " - not active

This means that the open item management is not active in the selected controlling area.

1 - active

This means that the open item management is active

  • For the selected controlling area
  • Beginning in the fiscal year you entered
  • For orders and for cost centers.

To actually be able to use the open item management, you must also activate it

  • By cost center type or
  • By order type

    Depending on where you want to use it.

Use

The following values are valid for commitment management:

  • ' ' - not active

    Commitment management is not active, therefore you cannot track commitments s in the selected controlling area.

  • 1 - active

    Commitment management is active. You can track the commitments in the selected controlling area beginning with the fiscal year entered for controlling objects, such as cost center and order. You will also have to activate commitment management separately by

    • Cost center type
    • Order type
