Delete Target Area

When you fill this parameter, you decide that objects in the target area are deleted if they are in the key area of the data to be transferred. Exactly how the delete function works is determined by the following options:

Delete complete objects(Intelligent Delete)

This is known as the "Intelligent Delete" option. This means that all data is deleted in the target system that is in any way connected to the key of what is being transferred. This is regardless of the tables actually selected.

For example, a user has already copied everything in the PA area for a particular personnel number. This included master, payroll, time and FI /CO data. At a later point, the user wants specifically to test master data changes. The originally transferred data is no longer relevant and it is only necessary now to transfer master data.

This would be a perfect case for the "Intelligent Delete". Only PA tables are to be transferred but the entire range of data for this PERNR must first be cleared to ensure clarity.

This is the costliest delete option in terms of performance. You should consider if it is enough to just delete the tables that you currently want to transfer with the Delete selected tables for given objects option.

Delete selected tables objects for selected tables/ PERNRs

This option results in the deletion of those tables that are selected for transfer with keys matching the objects to be transferred. For example, if infotype "nnnn" for key '9999999' is to be transferred, then only infotype 'nnnn' for key '9999999' will be deleted. (In the case of the "intelligent delete", all data in all tables associated with key '9999999' would be deleted).

Do not Delete(Use different number range for objects)

You can choose this option to avoid deletetion of any personnel development data in the receiver system. You would require to complete transfer objects in a different numbr range.
