This flag is used in the table CNV_20308_DFDATA. This table is used to store all values (reference and test values) for a data record for which at least one difference was found. If a data record has differences in two fields, two separate messages (each with its own GUID) are created in CNV_20308_CMPMSG. For each message, the system stores the complete data record (in which both fields are always different, of course) in CNV_20308_DFDATA together with the corresponding GUID. To make it clear which of the differences caused the entries for a GUID to be saved in CNV_20308_DFDATA, the flag RC (root cause) is set for a GUID for exactly one of the existing entries.
