Definition
This indicator specifies if a (sub)package should contain determination of determination objects or not.
This refers to the global setting that applies to all fields to be converted by the package and is implemented by the org. package. If you make a setting at field level (using an exit), this overrides the global setting.
If you specify relevant values for the determination objects, delimitation by these values takes place.
This global setting can take the following values:
" "
The package can run with determination for delimitation purposes. However the package does not require determination.
If it is a subpackage, it inherits the settings of the higher-level package.
If it is the main source package, the default setting is a possible determination by company codes or controlling areas. If you did not enter any relevant values, neither delimitation nor determination takes place.
"Y"
Determination is mandatory for the package. Delimitation is possible, but not mandatory.
"N"
You do not want determination for this package, not even for delimitation purposes. It may be done internally by the package itself.
"P"
Based on the current situation in the system, the package decides for itself if determination is required or not.
"U"
For packages that allow for determination, the possible target determination objects are typically defined as fixed values. However you can force a determination (for delimitation purposes) by other determination objects at your own risk. If you do so, the system automatically sets the indicator to 'U'.
"D"
The package is only a framework package. Information about the org. determination is contained in the subpackages that are assigned to the framework package.
Notes
For a detailed description, see the information about maintaining the target determination objects with transaction CNV_10020_TDTOBJ.
