Definition
If there is a table/field without a determination asssignment delivered, the system tries to suggest assignments for the given target determination objects. Those suggestions are technically correct but they are disputable with regards to content. Therefore every suggestion has to be checked by the user.
Using this parameter you can eliminate the suggestions for unwanted target determination objects. This reduces the list of suggestions and the chance that the user picks the wrong assignment.
Examples
- In a chart of account conversion that is restricted to some company codes, you want to ensure that for company code specific data the user doesn't pick a determination leading to chart of account. Company code (BUKRS) and chart of account (KTOPL) are defined as target determination objects. Set the parameter to 'X' for KTOPL. The system will suggest a determination to chart of account only if no determination to company code could be suggested.
- You use the org package not only to determine organizational units but also to determine different kind of data, e.g. fiscal year. You defined the fiscal year (GJAHR) as a target determination object you wan to use, but you don't want the system to suggest the user a determination to fiscal year. Set the parameter to 'N' for GJAHR. All suggestions leading to fiscal year will be excluded from the list.
