Definition

To facilitate partial loading of relationship data, you first need to divide this data into blocks. The block size specifies the approximate maximum number of data records in a block.

Notes

Alternatively, you can define the division by specifying the number of blocks.

Further notes

  • When loading a block, the system has to make sure to load all target determination values that are assigned to a given source determination value. This is why the number of entries in some blocks may be higher than the block size you defined.
  • If the relationship data is stored in the cluster, each block limit must coincide with a cluster block limit. To ensure that this is the case, the number of data records in a block should be a multiple of the package size.
  • You can use the transaction CNV_10020_CALCULATOR to calculate the approximate memory requirements for a given number of records and vice versa.
