Definition
You may want to temporarily override the existing determination type as stored in the determination path for technical purposes. To do so, you can use this parameter.
Example
- You want to find out if the a determines the desired values in the maintenance of assignments of determination paths to fields for conversion. As a rule, the object tables have not yet been loaded at this point in time. So you replace the determination type as stored in the determination path with a determination path that determines the relationship data at runtime from the application tables.
- You have completed a conversion and want to find out which org. unit was found for a certain table record. Originally, the determination was executed by loading the relationship data from the object tables to internal tables. Because you have a very large volume of relationship data, you do not want to completely load the data into the internal tables for your test (for a single record), but to do single determination from the object tables.
Notes
If you override the determination type, this applies also to any existing subpaths.
