Definition

Specifies the unique identifier for an activity that must be performed on an entity object in a business process. Each activity is a step in a process.

Use

In Collateral Management, an activity is used to control the behaviour of a business object.

• Each activity in a process belongs to a process area and process controlkey. It may lead to change in staus of a business object.
• Settings with respect to field control and the necessary authorization required for the execution, must already be defined to execute an activity.
• You can define activities in the Implementation Guide (IMG) activity Define Activities. You define activities for each process area.
• Each individual activity:
• Requires an authorisation test that may lead to a status change of entity objects
• Controls plausibility checks that are required to complete an activity.
• Controls the user interface features such as field status and function codes.
