Documentation
Definition
Specifies the unique identifier of a collateral agreement type.
Use
You can use collateral agreement types as follows:
- To group collateral agreements based on certain common attributes. Each collateral agreement inherits values of a collateral agreement type. These values determine the following for a collateral agreement type:
- If the collateral agreement is global
- Possibility to assign multiple assets to the collateral agreement
- Business partner function set
- Define settings for number ranges at the collateral agreement type level. These settings determine the unique identifiers for collateral agreements.
- Process control key that determines the possible business activities for a collateral agreement.
- Possible correspondence groups and correspondence roles.
Dependencies
You define collateral agreement types in the Implementation Guide activity (IMG) Define Collateral Agreement Types. In this IMG activity, you must assign each collateral agreement type to a pre-existing collateral agreement category. Additionally, you must assign each new collateral agreement to a collateral agreement type. The internal behaviour of the collateral agreements is determined by these assignments.
Example
Some possible collateral agreement types are:
- 010100 - Land charge certified
- 010400 - Mortgage registered
- 020100 - Individual transfer
- 020200 - Transfer of multiple goods
- 030200 - Surety
