Business partner category is used as an internal definition of key functions of business partners that may be required for the collateral process. Collateral Management provides the following business partner function categories:

Dependencies
Business partner categories are maintained internally and cannot be Customized. You must assign each business partner function to a pre-existing business partner category. This assignment determines the internal behaviour of business partner data.
