Definition

Key that controls which predefined responsibility centers a system message is assigned to.

In those responsibility centers for which there can be a further sub-division in organizational units, messages are assigned to these units.

This applies to the following responsibility centers:

• Purchasing can be divided into purchasing groups
• Engineering/design can be divided into engineering/design offices
• Work scheduling can be divided into planner groups
• Cost center accounting can be divided into cost centers
• MRP can be divided into MRP controllers

There is no further subdivision for the other responsibility centers (such as costing).

Example

A system message that is assigned to purchasing occurs. If the system knows a purchasing group that belongs to this responsibility center, the system message is assigned to that purchasing group.
